What To Expect For Truck Deliveries


  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dreamy desk with heavenly hutch I ordered the distressed off white over gray. In my living room, it appears as bright white. It is not overly distressed, which is nice. It is a large substantial piece of furniture. I painted the inside of the glass hutch light blue. The hutch with the glass doors is shallow, but definitely deep enough for books. The lower part of the piece, that I would call the desk, is deep and very well made. The drop down desk is wide and the drawers are carefully crafted. Excellent quality. No issues. Wonderful delivery and set up. Very pleased.

But since it is distressed I can kind of get around it. Also it is VERY VERY light blue! This is NOT a grey blue or any type of aged blue. It is baby blue! Kind of bummed about this but it took almost a year to get to me! The delivery company was first rate! Guys were very nice and helpful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Time The desk is beautiful. However the middle portion was damaged so I sent it back with the delivery company. I have the lower portion and the hutch and have been waiting for the third piece for months. Although the site claims it is stocked, I waited several months for the first delivery and I continue to wait for the replacement piece. It's been at least 3 months so far.

After hours on the phone with Ballard and the last mile delivery company, they still messed up the order multiple times. When I finally go the desk, some of the parts to put the desk together were missing. The desk is still sitting in pieces because the parts are not easily findable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Build Quality We ordered this piece and waited four months for delivery, par for the course during the pandemic. Overall the piece matched the descriptions on the internet and we are happy with the black finish. However, this piece has very low build standards and quality. The first hutch arrived with the several boards complete broken in half and falling off. We refused delivery and Ballard sent a replacement, waiving the shipping costs. The second hutch piece arrived in a similar damaged style and we once again refused delivery. They have reorder the hutch once again, offering no discount for the inconvenience and low quality. At this point would highly recommend a potential buyer look elsewhere, or buy knowing the piece has build quality issues. I do not believe this piece is worth the cost.
